Artist’s Note

Cities are defined by contrast—stillness and motion, repetition and interruption. In this theme, I look for moments where the visual noise quiets and structure emerges.

These images focus on geometry, alignment, and light as tools to translate the energy of the city into something composed and intentional.

Jay Britto

“Cities are constantly in motion, but architecture creates moments of pause within that movement. I photograph cityscapes to find those brief instances where geometry, light, and scale come together and the city feels composed rather than chaotic.”
